Last Saturday was the Scottish Liberal Democrats autumn conference in Dunfermline. As usual Liberal Youth Scotland was there in force. Young members spoke on a range of issues from internships to a motion calling for the decriminalisation of sex work. This was a motion that numerous LYS members, particularly Jade Holden, had put an incredible amount of work into.
However the highlight was LYS's motion on engaging underrepresented groups in politics passing almost unanimously.
Euan Davidson, President of LYS, and the proposer of the motion said:
'This is a great moment for the joint campaign by LYS and Bite the Ballot to make sure the engagement we amongst young people in particular during the referendum is safeguarded and built upon.'
