Events and Conferences

The Young Liberals Events Officer is responsible for organising national Young Liberals events. But there are plenty of events that run on a state, region or branch and society level. Make sure to get in touch with your local Young Liberals team and get stuck in with their events!

The Young Liberals host two conferences a year; one in winter and one in summer. Both of these are open to all members and move around the country. Keep your eyes peeled for the next one!

We also attend main Liberal Democrat conferences, and usually have a table in the exhibition. So definitely come and say hello if you see us at a federal conference - we usually have freebies like pens and stickers available, if our friendly faces weren't enough to draw you in!

There's a whole range of other events we run throughout the year, from training to socials to Q&As. Keep an eye on this page, our Twitter, or Young Liberals Forum for updates.

    Young and Running

    Young and Running

The Young Liberals are the future of the Liberals Democrats - and that includes our future MPs, MSPs, MSs, Councillors and more!

Many young people don't think running for election is for them. At this event we'll be having a chat with Molly Nolan (Scottish Parliamentary Candidate), Chloe Hutchinson (Welsh Senedd Candidate) and Cllr Ben Lawrie (Councillor and Scottish Parliamentary Candidate) about all things candidacy. What's it like being a young candidate? What does it take to be a candidate? How do you go about becoming a candidate?

Even if you've never considered being a candidate, do come along. You'll get to know our young candidates better and find out how we can all support young candidates - if this event doesn't inspire to you to become a candidate, that is!
