LGBT+ History Month

Sunday 1st February marks the start of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) History Month.

The overall aim of LGBT+ History month is to promote equality and diversity for the benefit of the public as well as celebrate the lives and achievements of individuals from the LGBT+ community.

Chair of Liberal Youth, Alex Harding said:

"It is important during this time of year to recognise and celebrate the incredible contributions made by members of the LGBT community across the country and events taking place this month allow for that."

"I am immensely proud of the fact that the Liberal Democrats have been at the forefront of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality for decades."

"We have the best record in Parliament of any political party on LGBT equality issues, and we continue to develop and promote progressive policies for LGBT people."

Liberal Youth are proud to stand with the LGBT+ community and are looking forward to celebrating their successes throughout February.
